today

spent today wandering round some festival stalls in the sunshine...found some sweet vinyl including tom petty and the heartbreakers, animals, blondie & john lennon.

also picked up the most amazing leather, envelope clutch bag. the woman running the stall (who must've been in her 60s) gave me a funny look and told me she had mixed feelings about selling it and was half hoping that it'd still be there at the end of the day. when i asked why, she told me that in 1945, her dad was in the raf (ww2) and during quiet periods, they were encouraged to take up hobbies such as needlecraft in order to beat the boredom. so he decided to make a bag that he could give to his wife when he got home. when i looked at it again and saw how thick and sturdy the leather is, with the rusty brass clasp and horse print, I noticed how un-feminine and un-intricate it actually is. i absolutely love it! i asked her if she was sure she wanted to sell it but she said yes, as long as i promised i'd look after it, she was happy it was going to a good home. plus she had already taken a picture. man...

and £3 for the gold vintage bracelet...be rude not to..

so the new series of the hills hit the uk on sunday night.. i'm fully aware that it's completely fake trash but i'll still admit that i'm addicted to watching it...however, 2 seasons later, i still really miss LC. the show is just not as good any more. even if it was mainly just to see what she was wearing or how she did her hair!
